Can't Buy Me Love was released into theaters on August 14th, 1987. Filming locations include Tucson, Az. It was directed by Steve Rash. The original title for the film was Boy Rents Girl. The male lead of Ronald Miller, was played by Patrick Dempsey. The female lead of Cindy Mancini, was played by Amanda Peterson. Peterson was only fifteen years old at the time of filming. Sadly, she passed away on July 3rd, 2015. Some of the songs featured in the movie include Can't Buy Me Love by The Beatles, Dancin' with Myself by Billy Idol and Surfin' Safari by The Beach Boys. The score was composed by Robert Folk. The films first DVD release was on August 13th, 2002.

The "Hill Farm Home" was designed by architect Josias Joesler and has been there since at least 1980. It serves as the Hill Farm community clubhouse.

The 3,856 square foot house was built in 1963.

It's the oldest operating public high school in Arizona. The current building was constructed in 1924. The west entrance to the school, is shown in the screenshots.

Mall - 4500 N. Oracle Rd. Tucson, Az. 85705

The mall opened on March 22nd, 1982. The scenes in the film took place on the eastern end of the mall, right in front of the Sears. Sears was one of the anchor stores of the mall, it closed in April of 2020. The Prime Lens Optical store, as seen in the movie, was an Animal Kingdom at the time of my visit.
