Unbreakable was released into theaters on November 22nd, 2000. Filming locations include Philadelphia, Pa. It was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Shyamalan makes his trademark cameo as the drug dealer, waiting in line to get into the stadium. This is the first installment in the Unbreakable film series a.k.a. Eastrail 177 Trilogy. The name Eastrail 177 is taken from the train crash which sets the story into motion.

Franklin Field is the home of the University of Pennsylvania football team. It opened on April 20th, 1895. It's the oldest NCAA football stadium still in operation. It has a current capacity (2020) of 52,958. Elijah follows the man to the southeast part of the stadium, then across South Street into Penn Medicine station.

The comic book shop opened in 1989. They're always more than happy to discuss the filming of Unbreakable, with fans who visit the location. They even allow fans to take pictures with the same comic book Samuel L. Jackson's character can be seen holding up in the movie. Sarah Paulson also filmed her comic book shop scenes here, in 2019's Glass.

The mural they're sitting in front of is named "Dream Garden". The 750 square foot mural was commissioned in 1916 and designed by Maxfield Parish. It's located just inside the S. 6th St. entrance.
