Marty arrives in 1885 - Indian Route 42 Oljato-Monument Valley, Az. 84536
(Monument Valley)

Over one-hundred movies have been filmed in Monument Valley. It sits right on the Arizona/Utah border and lies within the territory of the Navajo Indian Reservation. My comparison pictures aren't lined up perfectly, because the exact area of filming is only accessible under pre-arranged circumstances.

The monuments in the screenshot include, right to left, Stagecoach, Saddleback, Big Indian, Setting Hen and Eagle Mesa. West Mitten Butte is seen in my comparison picture, due to the fact that I wasn't able to get behind it during my visit to the location.

Seen in this screenshot, are Artist's Point and Spearhead Mesa, which are visible on the left side of my comparison picture.

The bridge seen in the distance, in the second and fourth screenshots, does not exist. It was only added to make it seem like Eastwood Ravine was there.
