Pumpkinhead
Pumpkinhead was released into theaters on January 13th, 1989. Filming locations include Stevenson Ranch and Topanga, Ca. It was directed by special effects and makeup legend, Stan Winston, in his directorial debut. Sadly, Winston passed away on June 15th, 2008. The origin of Pumpkinhead was a poem written by Ed Justin. The original title of the film was Vengeance The Demon, as shown in early trailers and promotional posters. Lance Henriksen played the lead of Ed Harley. Henriksen has an impressive resume, some of which include Aliens, Alien 3, Millennium, Near Dark, The Quick and the Dead, Tales from the Crypt episodes Cutting Cards & Yellow and The Terminator. Mushroom, the dog actor who played Gypsy, also played Barney in the movie Gremlins. The score was composed by Richard Stone. The films first DVD release was on August 1st, 2000.

I'd like to thank PaulH of Halloween Filming Locations for finding this location.
The exact location where the structure built for the film once stood, is now private property, beyond a gated entrance, owned by DKM Offshore Energy Inc. Getting to the spot requires a roughly 1.2 mile hike.

The 2,024 square foot house was built in 1979. It was also used as the Jarvis house, in Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter.
