Basket Case

Basket Case was released on April 2nd, 1982. Filming locations include New York, NY. It's directed by Frank Henenlotter, who would go on to direct Basket Case 2 and Basket Case 3 in 1990 & 1991. It was shot in the gritty era of 70's and early 80's New York City on a $35k budget. The films first DVD release was on December 1st, 1998.

For the reception desk, the filmmakers propped open the buildings elevator doors and assembled a small desk set. The stairs the actors would start to walk up, right next to the desk, were actually there. However, the up-stairs hallway and rooms were all constructed elsewhere.
